I love shooting birthday shoots! Renee Reina was celebrating her 40th birthday and wanted to celebrate in style. We rented a beautiful natural light studio, and I brought my battery-powered strobes to complete the lighting on this cool shoot. Later we went out and celebrated in style in Yaletown.

This winter I photographed some images at Avison Young Vancouver office. This is one of my favourite offices to photograph, everyone is very courteous and organized and the sessions are very short. For this image I channeled a mad men theme, and wanted to do something a little different from the average group shot. I digitally altered the floor to appear glasslike, and reflected the subjects back in it to add depth and dimension.

As a vegan, I have always admired the versatility of mushrooms. I’m constantly amazed by their ability to adapt to any environment, and their rapid growth. These mushrooms were photographed in the forests of Maple Falls in Fall 2023. h
